Writing Yourself A Permission Slip & Celebrating Your Wins
There are seasons of rest and seasons of hard work. Honestly, as mom, wife, career and business woman - it can be hard to give ourselves permission to slow down. Please tell me I’m not alone…..
As natural caregivers, we easily jump into taking care of everyone else’s needs. While beautiful, this can lead to exhaustion, overwhelm and sheer burn out. Sound familiar?
On a more lighthearted note in episode 28, you get a permission slip to release the guilt and soak in the periods of rest. Then when you feel energized and ready to hustle and grind, you are going to be unstoppable!
It’s time for us to release the guilt of trying to do all the things and instead, take time to refresh our mind, body and soul. If I know one thing is true, it’s that we are constantly cheering on everyone else around us, yet we have a really hard time giving ourselves grace to do the same. Read that again.
And listen to Alisha Carlson, a natural born hustler who is learning the importance of rest!
That’s why after you write your permission slip, you need to dive into episode 29 to celebrate your own wins. Here, let’s see what you think about this…
Raise your hand if you can relate 🖐
Yay, the baby is potty training
Yay, the kiddos did their chores today with little complaints
Yay, the teens are socializing with the family
Yay, the husband picked up his dirty socks and they went IN the laundry basket
You sit there cheering for everyone else around you, no matter how big or small, and feeling proud of their accomplishments. Now let me ask you this, when was the last time you claimed victory? Hhhhhhmmmmm….taking you a bit to think about that one huh? I hear ya mama, I’m there right with you. Realizing that sometimes we need and DESERVE a pat on the back, too, can be hard.
Well guess what sister, today, you are getting a chance to take one action daily to celebrate your wins too! Why? Because it FEELS good and you deserve it, just like the little (and big) humans in your life. We are great at cheering every one else on and it’s time to do that for ourselves.
In this episode, you’ll get 2 simple tips to incorporate into your daily routine. The perk is they both make YOU feel awesome and you get to make someone else smile in the process. Remember, that energy is contagious and we can do amazing things with a good spirit and belief. I hope that you’ll implement these easy tactics into your day-to-day and let me know how it goes for you. It’ll be fun to share our successes and cheer for one another. Look at what Pettygrl had to say:
One of the best tools I frequently mention is having an accountability partner and someone who will be your rock as you work towards achieving your goals. If you don’t have a person in your life you can reach out to, I truly don’t want you to struggle. It’s why I am so passionate about helping women push forward in their journey. I give you some tough love, but as your guide, we make progress. If you’ve been on the fence about how you can work intentionally towards your goals and make MASSIVE movement, don’t hesitate to book your call with me now and let’s start moving forward together.
