Hey, ladies, welcome back to the show. It is wisdom Wednesday. If you've been keeping up with the show, then you know that my family and I have actually been on vacation and on a road trip, which has been amazing and exhausting all at the same time. And I'm sure you can totally relate to that. Because I feel like most of the time whenever you have vacation, you need it to recuperate afterwards. Anyone else feel me on that because it sure does get tiring. And it almost seems like after you get back, it's not too bad the first day, but then that second and third day the energy starts to really take a nosedive. Because I think your body is adjusting to all the changes from your trip and catching up on laundry, which I'm staring at a mountain of it on my bed.

And that's actually what inspired today's episode is, I want to talk about how sometimes we just have to go with the flow of things. Learn how to adapt, and sometimes we just wing it. Today, I am actually recording this episode from my cell phone because guess what, I'm tired. I'm fighting a migraine, and I just wanted to deliver on the content for all of you and not feel pressured to have it be perfect. And every little detail ironed out. So today I'm winging it, and I'm going with the flow. And I actually learned in my life, in my career, that sometimes we just have to approach things in that way. It's okay to not feel that we have to show up perfectly every single time.

I just want to share encouragement with you today. Because that's what can happen to us is that we are I believe we are trained and told to have everything fall into place to try and have everything outlined perfectly. And let me tell you, the analyst in me, absolutely can fall into that rabbit hole very easily. So if you're shaking your head and nodding along with me thinking oh my gosh, yes, I find myself there too, then this episode is going to help you with just realizing that we don't have to have everything perfect. We don't have to have all the i's dotted and all the T's crossed. Because life happens. And sometimes just things happen, right?

I've actually been in a couple different courses lately, where the ladies that I was going to be watching them do a live training, their internet crashed, and their video wouldn't work. And the technology just decided to do its own darn thing. Well, that's the reality that could happen in any aspect of our lives. Sometimes the you know what hits the fan, am I right? And when that happens, you have to learn how to adapt, or you have to say, you know, I am willing to let go of that perfection. And I'm going to approach this from a different point of view, or I'm going to come at it from a different angle.

And we just learned how to adapt and redirect and do this a little bit differently. So I just want to encourage you today that sometimes things will not work out as you envisioned, and that's okay. It's okay to do it differently. It's okay to let go of that perfect plan that you had in place, because we're all human things happen. You know, look at everything that's going on. I'll speak for our local city here. We just found out that COVID numbers increased. Can we control that? Can we do anything about it? Absolutely not. So what do we do? Do we just sit here waiting forever for things to change? Or do we go with the flow of things and recognize that we're going to do the very best that we can with what's being presented before us, right.

In the example I was sharing with you of the two ladies that their technology just absolutely crashed. They recognize that they had to pivot, they recognize that they had to try something different. It wasn't exactly what they envisioned. But guess what? They pushed forward, they survived, they did an excellent job of finding ways to work around the challenge. Anytime there's a challenge in front of us, we have a decision to make. Either we can sit there and cry over spilt milk, right, as we say, or we can say, you know what, yeah, this is not ideal, this stinks, but I'm going to do something about it. And I'm going to pivot, I'm going to redirect, I'm going to adapt, and you do it.

I just want to let you know that you don't have to always have everything lined up perfectly, because the truth is, that's not reality. Most of us understand that things are fluctuating, things are changing, or that technology happens, right? Sometimes it stinks and it bombs out on us. Well, guess what? How do you deal with it, you just find a new way you think on your feet, as I always share with you think outside the box, it doesn't have to be this beautifully schemed program and process that you go through, sometimes you just figure it out. And that's how we adapt. And we make things happen for ourselves by continuing to push forward. And I think the silver lining is that I believe we grow through that. It might feel uncomfortable, it's going to feel like a struggle in the process, you're going to be stressed and panicking and frustrated and all these emotions at the same time, I totally get it. And trust me, I feel like that a lot of the times.

What I want to encourage you to think about is that it doesn't have to be a failure, it doesn't have to be this thing that just collapses in front of you. Find ways to make it work, you're strong and capable of figuring these things out. So don't let it stop you in your tracks. Whenever things happen. It means that we can evolve and do something just a little bit different. So that we can make it work for ourselves and for the people that we're there to serve. You have to think about that, too. It's not always about us. And what we're trying to do, it's about who is going to benefit from that thing that we pushed forward from, even when it felt uncomfortable, even when it felt like the odds were against us, we can absolutely do it.

I just want to encourage you today, ladies that don't let those challenges that pop up in your life that pop up in your professional journey to fully hold you back. It's time to recognize that guess what things may have hiccups in the process. And there might be random things that pop up that are unexpected. But we can adapt, we can go with the flow. And you know what we have to laugh at ourselves in the process because it can feel overwhelming.

Let's just be frank about it. Like I said, I'm sitting here staring at a pile of laundry in my house. And that's the result of a road trip. But I can laugh about it, I can think back to the memories that my family and I made on our road trip that pushed me through to keep doing the thing. Nothing's perfect in my house right now. Everything's a disaster and upside down because there's laundry everywhere, you know, food to be made, things to be put away. And I'm just going with the flow. I'm not letting it overwhelm me, I'm doing the best that I can with the amount of time and energy that I have. And just making it worked for us.

Hence why this is being recorded in a much lighter tone. And from my cell phone. So you might hear different noises today. And guess what I'm okay with that. And I surely hope that you are too. Because if you've been hanging around here, you know that I really encourage you to just always push forward with the resources you have at hand. Take action every single day towards that vision that you have, and don't give up.

I hope that this encourages you. And that the next time you're facing any sort of challenge you remember to keep pushing forward, go with the flow of things and we will learn how to adapt. I hope that you're enjoying this episode and I look forward to hearing from you reach out to me and let me know if you are facing any of these challenges or if you've ever had that scenario happen to you and how you handled it. Thanks for tuning in. I'm your host Susie Q.
