Burnt Out In Your Career? 1 Strategy To Make It Work For You!
If you’ve been feeling burnt out and frustrated in your career, I’m guessing you may be thinking it’s time to try something new. As you prepare for this transition, I have one strategy that will help you change your perspective and inspire you on your new journey. Let’s jump into the show!
I am about to reveal to you one of the best tips my very first coach gave me that absolutely shifted my mind. I had been expressing to her how I felt deflated, undervalued and overall burnt out in my role at the time. She let me vent and then shared these words of wisdom I will never forget. She said look at your current role as an investor.
In my case, she was referring to the financial side of things which was absolutely huge to me seeing things through a new lens. I want to take her concept and expand on it a bit more.
Be it financially, skill-wise, relationship building or whatever other way you can look at it, take a look at your current situation as a foundation to the next thing you want to pursue. So for me, that meant using the salary I was earning to not only fund my current life, but to also fund future opportunities. That can be businesses, real estate, certifications and trainings and the list goes on.
The key here is to not let the present situation go to waste. When you see your job as your investor, you can put less focus on the frustrations you are feeling and instead recognize the opportunities in front of you.
A couple other examples might be to take free training your employer offers if that’s an option or see if they will allow you to work a different schedule so you can dedicate time to your other passions. The key here is to truly see the benefits available to you and to invest them in your future.
It helps us to feel a little less dreadful and a lot more excited of what’s to come!
Now of course, it doesn’t mean this will apply to every job or every person, because you may have a really toxic work place that staying there is more harmful than good. If that’s the case, you more than likely need to let go and move on.
If you are on the verge of making a pivot, use this frame of mind to help you make the transition easier and get yourself through it. At the end of the day, I see it as using this opportunity to fund your dreams.
As you face these big transitions, it can feel isolating and scary. I really want you to know that you don’t have to do this alone. I have been in your shoes, feeling that discomfort of wanting more and not knowing how to achieve it.
That was….until I met my coach. She gave me a totally different perspective, helped me define my goals, and held my hand throughout the entire process. It was that decision to hire her that made the most impact in my career, business, and life.
I want to encourage you to be open to the possibility of doing this for yourself. When you set up a coaching session with me, I am going to be your partner in your journey. Helping you to build your confidence, release your fears, and taking actionable steps to make your dreams a reality. No more siting on the sidelines, wondering what if or must be nice.

To wrap up, I leave you with these words from Judy Blume, “How we handle our fears will determine where we go with the rest of our lives.”
Don’t let fear hold you back, it’s time to stop feeling frustrated, use your investor to your advantage, and take the first step in your new journey.
I’m grateful you are here, I’ll catch you on the next episode!
